Like A Fool - Rhythm

Like A Fool

Rhythm' Train

(Urs Odermatt, 2006)

I had to play in an old Honkytonk this night
Then I recognised her sittin' there
She spread all her charm around her
When she looked at me my heart started to melt

She had two black brades and wore a cowboy hat
A hot skirt and a black tight top
Her smile was sweeter than a candy drop
She had everything that a man can dream of

In the break I twirled around her so many times
But I was to nervous and too shy
Thought after the next beer I would talk to her
But I never drank enough to connect with her

I got mad at myself when I saw her empty chair
She left and I didn't see her go
Why oh why was I afraid to go to her
I missed the chance I felt like a fool

I'm so lonesome and can't get her off my mind
She was so sweet and kind
I dream about her every night and day
But till now I never saw her again
