Kevin Smith (US)

Upright bassist from Austin, Texas. He took up the upright in 1988 with the rockabilly trio High Noon, which toured fourteen countries and played Carnegie Hall and the Conan O'Brien show backing Ronnie Dawson. A slap-bass specialist, he has also played with Dwight Yoakam, Brian Setzer and the Asylum Street Spankers, and since 2011 has toured and recorded with Willie Nelson and Family.
