Bobby Darin (US)

American singer and actor, born Walden Robert Cassotto in the Bronx in 1936. 'Splish Splash' and 'Dream Lover' made him a rock and roll star before 'Mack the Knife' turned him into a supper-club headliner. He topped the bill over Duane Eddy on the March-April 1960 British package tour promoted by Leslie Grade and Arthur Howes. He died in 1973, aged 37, after heart surgery.
