Doors: 21:30. Originally from Barcelona, Don Frank grew up musically with the sounds of rockabilly and early 1950s rock and roll. Heavily influenced as a teenager by Elvis, he soon discovered there is life after (and especially before) Elvis, immersing himself in classic country, western swing and 1930s-50s swing. In the 1980s he made California his base, strongly influenced by the Bakersfield sound. A true rebel in his hometown, Don Frank has delivered American roots music for decades — from rockabilly to western swing, honky tonk and cowboy music — across the United States and Europe with various bands. He has now stepped forward to launch his solo career as a singer-songwriter. He doesn't play music, he lives it!
