27th edition of Screamin' Festival, the international rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues and 50s culture festival held in Calella (Barcelona) and organised by El Toro Records. A full week of live concerts, beach parties, specialist DJs and vintage activities. The artists confirmed for 2027 are Linda Gail Lewis with Danny B. Harvey; Joey Simeone of The Bellfuries, playing a set given over entirely to the Bellfuries songbook; The Wise Guyz, formed in Kharkiv and led by Chris Bird, returning with a new European line-up; Levi Dexter & The Ripchords featuring Danny B. Harvey; the Canadian country band The Plowboys; Jeremy Slemenda presenting The Dance Album of Carl Perkins on its 70th anniversary, with Linda Gail Lewis as a special guest; Annie Marie Lewis of The Devil's Daughters; a doo wop clash pitting The Velvet Candles against The NewTones; Charlie Hightone & The Rock-It's; Ezra Lee; the Australian guitarist Jumpin' Jethro Whittaker; Los Killer Tones; Los Coringas; The Peebees, the stripped-down guitar and drums duo of Ruben 'El Pavoni' from Portugal and Jesus 'J.L.' Lopez from Spain; Legacaster, the Barcelona guitar band built around El Lega and going since 2011; and the Hightone Rhythm Ramblers, the Madrid country outfit led by Charlie Hightone since 2017. The festival also stages Streets of Bakersfield, a production of its own celebrating the California country sound, led by The Plowboys with guests. The festival updated its bands page on 12 September 2026 and still describes the list as partial; its DJ page was still empty and no programme had been published when this listing was written.
