The ninth Rhythm Riot ran from Friday 25th to Monday 28th November 2005 at Pontins Holiday Centre in Camber, Sussex. Vocal group The Five Keys, with lead vocalist Maryland Pierce, headlined alongside Shirley Gunter, the original 'Oop Shoop' singer, Texas rhythm & blues guitarist Roy Gaines, Mississippi bluesman T-Model Ford and Louisiana swamp pop singer Warren Storm, all making rare UK appearances. The supporting bill was drawn from the Netherlands, the United States, Italy and Sweden. The weekend also featured vintage clothing and record stalls, the classic and custom car cruise, an indoor rockin' and retro boot sale, a beauty parlor, hairdresser and rockin' barber, Rhythm Riot TV and a Hollywood-style photo studio.
