The thirteenth Rhythm Riot ran from Friday 20th to Monday 23rd November 2009 at Pontins Holiday Centre in Camber, Sussex. Rhythm & blues saxophone legend Big Jay McNeely, New Orleans singer Clarence 'Frogman' Henry and rockabilly duo The Collins Kids led the American contingent, alongside Barrence Whitfield. The original line-up of The Blue Rhythm Boys reformed for the weekend with Paul Ansell, Jim Carlisle and Ashley Kingman, and Sweden's Harmonica Sam made a debut that the reviewer singled out as the find of the festival. Mark Lamarr presented two exclusive hours on Rhythm Riot Radio, broadcast to every apartment.
