The first Summer Jamboree, held on Sunday 20 August 2000 in Senigallia on Italy's Adriatic coast. Free to enter and lasting a single day, it was staged on a shoestring in a school garden by the Summer Jamboree cultural association, with five bands playing western swing, rockabilly and rock'n'roll and a record hop alongside.
