The sixteenth Hangar Rockin' ran from 29 June to 1 July 2017 at the St. Stephan airfield, opening with a Thursday pre-hangar party headlined by The Three Chord Wonders. Batmobile closed the Friday night in the hangar after The Twilighters, with The Raunchy Rawhide Chicken running the record hop tent. Saturday brought Ed Cavin & the Blue Kings, Sean Coleman & His Quasars, Marti Brom and The Wise Guyz, plus a newcomer stage won the previous year by Monophonic Gentlemen & The Riots. DJ Don Otto, DJ Mouse, Shakin' Casi, Roadking 50's and Boppin' Manol covered the floors, with Hans Friedensbruch and Gunnar Stachmann at the Tiki bamboo bar.
