The fifth Hangar Rockin', billed as the fifth anniversary edition, was held on Saturday 1 July 2006 at the Birrfeld airfield in Lupfig, Aargau, with thirteen hours of programme. Los Straitjackets closed the night in the hangar, following Paul Ansell's Number 9 and The Wailin Elroys, with Reverend Beatman & Brothers earlier in the evening and Ray Gibson & the Flattop Cats playing the open air afternoon. The night also carried a Forbidden Paradise tiki auction hosted by MC Dink Winkerton.
