The 4 Gatos Rockers Club ran the Rock & Blues Festival over three days on Calle Manuel Taño in El Paso, on the Canary island of La Palma, from 27 to 29 July 2012, as part of the town's Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Pino. The Friday bill opened with Josele Marín Trío from Madrid, followed by local blues act Smith & Wesson, Tenerife surf-punk band PornoSurf and Dino's Band; Saturday gathered six rock bands from La Palma and Tenerife; and the festival closed on Sunday morning with an open Rock and Blues Matinée jam session. The municipal programme also lists a Rock & Blues session at Bar Central on the Thursday evening. This is the earliest documented use of the festival's name; the edition count in use today begins with a later revival.
