Inaugural edition of the Crossroad Festival, held on 22 and 23 August 2003 at the Plaza de Toros de El Bibio in Gijon, Asturias. Directed by Kike Louie, the festival was programmed across rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, swing, rhythm and blues, americana and doo wop. Friday 22 August brought The Big Jamboree, Wraygunn, The Planet Rockers, Neville Staple, Lee Rocker and Koko Taylor and Her Blues Machine; Saturday 23 August brought The Extraordinaires, Eddie Floyd, Royal Crown Revue, Danko Jones and Dave Edmunds. Concerts began at 18:00, with tickets at 40 euros per day and 60 euros for the two-day pass. A Sunday matinee at 12:00 on 24 August at the Sala Albeniz, featuring Lee Rocker and Royal Crown Revue, was offered to festival ticket holders.
