Hillbilly Hoedown Weekend 2020 was scheduled for 31 July to 2 August 2020 at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire (with a Thursday pre-party), but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The planned line-up — headlined by Germany's Dr. Bontempi's Snake Oil Company, with The Boot Heel Playboys' Bob Wills Special, The Hadocol Hot Shots, Ian Cal Ford and the Brakemen, The XXX Hustlers, Lynette Morgan & the Blackwater Valley Boys and a Jamboree Show hosted by The Doel Brothers — was carried over to the 2021 edition, which reused the same poster with only the year changed.
