Rockabilly Legacy at Lola! The French band The Spunyboys was formed in 2006. In looks and in music they immediately call to mind the glory years of the successful Stray Cats of the 1980s. This rockabilly trio plays fifties (Sun-style) classics in a traditional line-up, given their own recognisable treatment, by artists such as Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Burnette, Gene Vincent and Buddy Holly — but they are also influenced by the music of teddy boy legends and neo-rockabilly acts like Crazy Cavan, The Stray Cats and Matchbox.
