I Stompin' at the Refugio Perdido en el Rancho Canada
More info
Once again El Refugio Perdido radio show and FOOT STOMPIN' CLUB (Leon) join forces for a free weekend of revelry, the "I STOMPIN' AT THE REFUGIO PERDIDO at RANCHO CANADA". For this first edition, the bands joining us over the weekend are the best way to beat the cold: Lulu and the Rockets (Salamanca) and The Kabooms (Barcelona), a pair of aces with releases on Sleazy Records, visiting for the first time. After the success of Don Frank last autumn, we again put ourselves in the hands of Kathrina Bookings and its bands, always a guarantee of quality and fun. Also returning is Frenchman Phil Riza, now a regular with the cold of Leon, the orujo and the goat cecina. On the decks, Rob B Bop, SABELA and LULU BROWN will select the hottest, most frantic rhythms to heat up the floor. Saturday brings no rest: a blues workshop with Phil himself and a dance workshop with Leopoldo Rodriguez and Vi Cordoba to work off the ranch paella and warm up before Lulu takes the stage. If there is energy left on Sunday, a vermouth session closes this weekender among friends, cecina, horses, orujo, clothing and accessory stands and plenty of Rock and Roll at a genuine, unique Western ranch. Access by road from the N630, turning off at La Robla towards Matallana on the CL626 if coming from Asturias, or from the LE-311 towards Cuevas de Valporquero if coming from Leon. You can also arrive by FEVE train, stopping at Matallana de Torio. THE KABOOMS LULU AND THE ROCKETS PHIL RIZA
