Rooster Live! Pääesiintyjät + support Fri 13.3.2020 21.00 doors 22.00 support 23.00 Pääesiintyjät Pääesiintyjät make a spectacular return to Tampere stages in March 2020! In 1993 Finland was astonished and charmed by Pääesiintyjät, a band drawing its ideas from the hay-barn romance of old Finnish films and from jazzy rockabilly pop, whose songs “Sua aattelen”, “Iiris” and “Älä ota pitkätukkaa” were in heavy rotation on the radio. Late that year the group still managed to release a full-length album, inventively titled “Pitkäsoitto”. After that the band vanished as quickly as it had appeared. In nearly 30 years, however, Pääesiintyjät has become a cult band, repeatedly asked over the years to return to the stage. Pääesiintyjät made the awaited return to the stage in 2019 and, best of all, to the studio too: on 7 February 2020 there is a record's worth of rillumarei-billy in the form of the band's new album “Lättähatun paluu”. There is plenty of choice, because alongside today's digital channels the record is naturally also released on CD, LP and cassette. The line-up has undergone small adjustments. Original members Mika Jokinen (guitar) and Pete Salomaa (double bass) are joined by singer Vesa Haaja, known from Agents, and drummer Timo Järvinen. Rooster Live! Happy Hour: Get in the mood for the show with fitting music and cheap drinks! Rooster's Happy Hours run on show nights from 18.00 until the venue side opens for the evening's performance.
