The Neatbeats return to Fun House after their sold-out first concert. Monday 10/02. Doors: 21:00. The Neatbeats are possibly the best Rhythm 'n' Beat / Mersey Beat band on the planet. Led by the veteran Mr. Pan, these Japanese musicians revive the most energetic spirit of the Hamburg-era Beatles or The Cavern with sweaty, frantic live shows. Formed in 1997 in Osaka after being amazed by a visit from The Kaisers, the Scottish beat kings of the 90s, guitarist and producer Manabe Takashi (Mr. Pan) left behind his surf and garage projects to shape an overwhelming band whose influences ranged from 1950s rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues to 60s twist and beat, but never crossing beyond 1965. Today The Neatbeats have around twenty albums (including live records and even a Christmas album) and a mountain of singles, and Mr. Pan, Mr. Lawdy, Mr. Gully and Mr. Mondo deliver one of the best and most festive Beat shows you can find. The Bo Derek's combine Oscar Avendano (Siniestro Total, Los Profesionales, Reposado, Los Naipes...) with the Lorre brothers, Jorge Lorre and Rufus el Guarro (Los Wavy Gravies, The Allnight Workers, Los Hijos Bastardos de Peter Lorre, Dead Wood...), showing their most pub-rock side: rock'n'roll for having fun, drinking and dancing.
