Formed in 2010 outside a grimy fried-chicken shop on Holloway Road, MFC Chicken play raw, sax-driven rock and roll about fast food and broken hearts. When Spencer Evoy arrived in London from Canada, he had no idea his quest to revive the spirit of Pacific Northwest rock'n'roll would begin outside a chicken shop on Holloway Road. Since those early days, the band has released four LPs and a handful of singles on Dirty Water Records (UK) and FOLC Records (Spain). The lineup, with Spencer Evoy (sax/lead vocals), Ravi Low-Beer (drums), Zig Criscuolo (bass/vocals) and Dan Dan Criscuolo (guitar/vocals), has torn through the UK and Europe in hundreds of concerts with the sound of "the music the Sonics and The Wailers listened to", establishing themselves as leading ambassadors of Pacific Northwest rhythm and blues. 2020 marks the band's tenth anniversary and the release of a new album with 14 new pieces of rock and roll, frat-rock and rhythm and blues, including tracks such as "KFC Called The Cops On Me", "Breakfast Taters" and "Fuck You, Me".
