Cherokee Dance
Bob Landers
SPECIALTY 576, 1956
Released 1956
Hey, let's do the Cherokee Dance
(Chick-a-bop, chick-a-bop, chick-a-boom)
Dance all wild and then romance
Take three steps forward and bow your head
Dance until your face turns red
Grab your gal and spin around
Take three steps back and then squad out
As you straighten up on your feet
Dance all around to this crazy beat
Take three steps forward and bow your head
Body's damp and face is red
Grab your gal and spin around
Take three steps back and then squad out
As you straighten up on your feet
Dance all around to this crazy beat
(Chick-a-bop, chick-a-bop, chick-a-boom)
Hey, let's do the Cherokee Dance
(Chick-a-bop, chick-a-bop, chick-a-boom)
Let's get ready to romance
Take three steps forward and rub her head
Tell her she's nice, don't be afraid
Grab your gal and spin around
Take three steps back and then squad out
As you straighten up on your feet
Dance all around to this crazy beat
Take three steps forward and bow your head
Tell her she's nice, don't be afraid
Grab your gal and spin around
And take three steps back and then squad out
As you straighten up on your feet
Kiss your baby on this last beat
