Paul Williams and His Hucklebuckers (US)

American rhythm and blues band led by honking tenor saxophonist Paul 'Hucklebuck' Williams (1915-2002). Their 1949 Savoy recording 'The Huckle-Buck' topped the R&B chart for 14 weeks and helped establish the honking-sax sound that bridged jazz, R&B and early rock 'n' roll.
