American R&B and doo-wop vocal group, formally Billy Ward and his Dominoes, one of the most successful R&B groups of the early 1950s. Led by Billy Ward, the group launched the careers of lead singers Clyde McPhatter and later Jackie Wilson, with hits including 'Sixty Minute Man'.
