First edition of the Caister Rock 'n' Roll Weekender (Royalty Showstopper Promotions), held 2-4 March 1979 at Ladbrokes Caister Holiday Centre, Caister-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Headlined by US rockabilly pioneer Ray Campi & His Rockabilly Rebels, with Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers, Matchbox, The Flying Saucers and Freddie 'Fingers' Lee. Footage from the weekend was captured in Curtis Clark's 1980 documentary 'Blue Suede Shoes'.
