More info
The tenth Rhythm Riot ran from Friday 24th to Monday 27th November 2006 at Pontins Holiday Centre in Camber, Sussex, and drew the largest attendance the weekender had seen to that point. The bill was led by New Orleans singer Lloyd Price, making his first UK appearances in years, boogie-woogie pianist Little Willie Littlefield, Sun rockabilly singer Hayden Thompson, New Orleans producer and pianist Eddie Bo and Texas guitarist Ray Sharpe. Mike Sanchez brought a full revue that included a young Imelda May, and the Rhythm Riot Kings of Rhythm, led by Big Boy Bloater, backed the visiting American artists. The weekend also featured the classic car cruise to Rye, one of the biggest specialist vintage clothing markets in Europe, the indoor boot sale and the Lady Luck Room.
