Carlos and the Bandidos (UK)

1995 –

British rockabilly band formed in November 1995 by the singer Carlos Mejuto and the lead guitarist Malcolm Chapman, fresh off a tour with Big Sandy & The Fly-Rite Trio, joined by Neil Scott on bass, Roger Van Niekirk on drums and Ricky Cooper on rhythm guitar. Their hard-edged rockabilly runs to a spaghetti western theme, drawing on Mejuto's Spanish roots. Their 1995 sessions at Toe Rag Studios in London, produced by Liam Watson, also used Matt Radford on bass and Brian Neville on drums. They have toured the United Kingdom, much of Europe and the American west coast.
