The first Hot Rock 'n' Boogie Weekender, staged by Lincolnshire dance tutors Claire Hearn and Neil Seabrook of Boston Jive at the Springfields Events Centre in Spalding. Thirteen bands and three DJs played across two days, with free-to-use vintage fairground rides, classic cars, a vintage market and a stylist alongside the music. Saturday ran from 10am to midnight and Sunday from 10am to 11pm. Weekend tickets were 44 pounds, day passes 25 pounds, and children under 12 went free. Hundreds attended what became an annual fixture on the British rock 'n' roll weekender calendar.
