The 5th Hot Rod Hayride was held at the Bisley Shooting Centre in Brookwood, Surrey on 14-16 August 2009. Hosted by Jerry Chatabox and the Executioners Car Club, the weekender paired a strictly pre-1966 hot rod and custom show field with live rockabilly and rock'n'roll, an oval dirt track race - commentated that year by Alex Idzardi of the Shifters Car Club - a soapbox derby and camping.
