A stop on 'The Biggest Show of Stars for '57', the autumn edition of Irvin Feld's touring package - booked across 28 states and five Canadian provinces for some 80 performances - at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Tuesday 15 October 1957. This was the night Eddie Cochran joined the tour. Promoter Irvin Feld dropped three Black acts from the bill here - the Bobbettes, the Spaniels and Johnnie and Joe - and added Cochran, Buddy Knox and Jimmy Bowen, moving Fats Domino to close the first half. Eddie Cochran had joined the tour on 15 October in Los Angeles, with Buddy Knox and Jimmy Bowen. The travelling cast was headed by Fats Domino and his orchestra, with Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, the Everly Brothers, LaVern Baker, Clyde McPhatter, the Drifters, Frankie Lymon and Paul Anka, compered by Harold Cromer and backed throughout by Paul Williams and his orchestra.
