More info

A stop on 'The Biggest Show of Stars for '57', the autumn edition of Irvin Feld's touring package - booked across 28 states and five Canadian provinces for some 80 performances - at the University of Idaho Memorial Gymnasium in Moscow on Monday 28 October 1957. A college date, and one of the few rooms on the tour that was not a theatre or an arena. Eddie Cochran had joined the tour on 15 October in Los Angeles, with Buddy Knox and Jimmy Bowen. The travelling cast was headed by Fats Domino and his orchestra, with Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, the Everly Brothers, LaVern Baker, Clyde McPhatter, the Drifters, Frankie Lymon and Paul Anka, compered by Harold Cromer and backed throughout by Paul Williams and his orchestra.
