La Maroquinerie and Live Nation France present: Pokey LaFarge & His Band Pokey LaFarge is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, artist, poet and actor living in Los Angeles. Raised on a healthy diet of blues, bluegrass, ragtime, western swing and old-time country, the Illinois native writes timeless, many-coloured songs that reflect his refined taste as well as the wide variety of influences and rhythms he has absorbed over a decade — and he has travelled and played all over the world. LaFarge made his debut in 2006 with the self-released album Marmalade. He has since recorded seven more albums, the most recent being Manic Revelations, acclaimed in 2017, and has built a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic. He opened for Jack White's tour — White released Pokey LaFarge in 2013 on his Third Man Records label — and has played humble nightclubs as well as big stages such as The Ryman, Red Rocks and Bonnaroo. He made his big-screen debut in 2013 as a saloon singer in Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger, and in 2017 he played country legend Hank Snow in the series Sun Records. After touring extensively with the South City Three and an ever-changing cast of other musicians, LaFarge now occasionally plays solo while concentrating on finishing his first collection of poetry.
