1957 – 1958 Disbanded
Gene Vincent's backing band, and the group behind the Capitol session of May 1956 that produced 'Be-Bop-A-Lula'. Cliff Gallup played the lead guitar that made the band's reputation and left in the autumn of 1956; Johnny Meeks followed him. The Blue Caps toured Australia with Vincent on Lee Gordon's Big Show in October 1957 and backed him through the run of hits that ended in 1958.
