The closing Sydney Stadium run of Lee Gordon's 'Big Show', on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October 1957 — two performances on the Friday and three on the Saturday. These were Little Richard's last Australian concerts: he flew home the following day to train for the ministry, abandoning the rest of the tour, and two Brisbane performances booked for 14 October were cancelled. Gene Vincent and his Blue Caps, Eddie Cochran, Alis Lesley and Johnny O'Keefe and the Dee Jays completed the bill. Sources disagree about the Friday: some tour reconstructions place the package at the Stadium on both nights, while research by the University of Newcastle's Hunter Living Histories records a second Newcastle Stadium date advertised for that Friday and abandoned without notice about forty-eight hours beforehand.
