A week at the Birmingham Hippodrome, Hurst Street, from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 March 1960, twice nightly at 6.20 and 8.30. The house programme for the week survives and sets out the running order: overture by the Empire Orchestra, then Billy Raymond as host and compere, the Tony Sheridan Trio 'from TV's Oh Boy', Joe Brown 'from TV's Boy Meets Girl', and Eddie Cochran closing the first half, introduced as 'for the first time in England, hit recorder of C'mon Everybody and Summertime Blues'. After the interval came Georgie Fame, 'new singing-pianist', Billy Fury, 'Britain's newest teenage idol', a second spot from Billy Raymond, and Gene Vincent closing the show, 'the Rock 'n' Roll idol of millions, backed by the fabulous Wildcats (by kind permission of Marty Wilde)'. The programme cost sixpence and carried the theatre's ordinary 'Variety' cover.
