A date on Lee Gordon's Big Show, the package that brought Bill Haley and His Comets to Australia in January 1957, at the Sydney Stadium in Sydney from Thursday 24 January 1957 to Saturday 26 January 1957 - two shows on the first two nights and three on the Saturday, closing the tour. Haley headlined a bill with the Platters, LaVern Baker, Big Joe Turner, and Freddie Bell and the Bell Boys. It was the first time most Australians had seen an American rock and roll act in the flesh, and Gordon would repeat the formula that October with Little Richard, Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran.
